MuseumLog Beta Program Terms

These Beta Program Terms supplement the MuseumLog Terms of Service (/terms) and apply to your participation in the MuseumLog beta program distributed through Apple TestFlight (the “Beta”). If these Beta Program Terms conflict with the Terms of Service, these Beta Program Terms control for the Beta.
1. Eligibility
- You must be at least 18 years old to participate in the Beta. This is stricter than the general age requirement in the Terms of Service and applies for the duration of the beta program.
- The Beta is offered in the United States, the countries of the European Union / European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland.
- Participation is free, voluntary, and by invitation or open TestFlight enrollment. We may limit the number of participants.
2. Beta software — expectations
The Beta is pre-release software. You acknowledge that:
- Features may be incomplete, change without notice, or be removed.
- The App may crash, behave unexpectedly, or produce incorrect artwork identifications and content more often than a finished product would.
- Your data may be lost. We may reset accounts, migrate or delete beta data, or wipe test content as part of development. Do not treat the Beta as the only copy of anything you care about — export or keep your own copies of photos and notes you want to preserve.
- Service availability is not guaranteed, and AI-powered features are subject to daily fair-use limits that may be lower or stricter than in a released version.
3. Feedback
Feedback you provide about the Beta (bug reports, suggestions, screenshots of issues, TestFlight feedback) is subject to the feedback license in the Terms of Service — we may use it without restriction or compensation. Do not include other people’s personal information in feedback submissions.
4. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy (/privacy) applies to the Beta. In addition:
- TestFlight itself is operated by Apple; Apple collects crash logs and usage statistics from TestFlight builds under Apple’s own terms and may share crash and usage data with us if you consent through TestFlight.
- Optional product analytics are opt-in (Privacy Policy §2.3): the App asks for your consent during onboarding, you can change your answer anytime in Profile → Privacy & Data, and nothing is collected unless you expressly agree. In addition, analytics transmission is active only in builds that include an analytics key; in builds without one, no analytics are collected regardless of your choice.
5. Term and termination
- The Beta runs until we end it, release a public version, or remove the App from TestFlight. TestFlight builds also expire automatically under Apple’s rules.
- We may suspend or remove any participant at any time, with or without cause. You may leave at any time by deleting the App and, if you wish, deleting your account.
- At the end of the Beta, we may migrate your data into the released version, or we may delete beta data; if we plan to delete it, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you in advance through the App or email.
6. No warranty; Apple
The disclaimers, limitation of liability, and Apple App Store provisions of the Terms of Service apply fully to the Beta. Apple’s TestFlight terms of service also apply to your use of TestFlight.
